I hit one of my favorite thrift stores the other day and I guess I was really in the mood for the "Bric a Brac" because I left the store with an armload of goodies for a little over $35.00
I received some new items in the mail yesterday, and really love the Tulum Bracelet. The pictures don't do it justice - it is very well made. Three strands of turquoise beads on brown leather cording with sliding silver adjustable accents that allows you to slip in on & off. I will enter a couple of pics of the bracelet on one of my daughters later today.
Be sure and enter my Giveaway - there are only a few entries so far, so the chances of winning are GOOD!!

Summer casual style looks spontaneous layered with other bangles. This bracelet goes with so many spring and summer outfits.

Since I am a Thrift Store Addict and Love to find Creative Ways to Recycle, I found this ingenious post on making those cute baby/toddler leather shoes that cost an arm & a leg. These are great!
Recycled Leather Shoes FREE Tutorial

I don't know if I should call this a tutorial or a "This is What I Did - Learn From My Mistakes/Successes".A couple of months ago I had an idea. I wanted shoes for the twins to be able to wear and not wear out quickly. I had purchased some patterns on Etsy and I knew if I could just get leather, they would be more durable and good for extended use. But I didn't want to pay for leather. So I went to my nearest thrift shop and bought some leather handbags for $.75 to $1.50 a piece and "Wha La!" Here is the result:

Okay, so I just signed up with McLinky and decided to check out how their Blog Hop works. I started scanning through the Friday Giveaway Blog Hop and noticed a La Creuset Giveaway. I just recently started wanting to add some La Creuset to my cookware, but have you seen the prices on those babies? So, if you would like to get in on the action, check out http://imjustyouraveragemom.blogspot.com/2010/03/le-creuset-baking-dish-giveaway.html and enter. I hope I win :)
